The University of Southampton

The residential course (10th – 14th July 2017) will enable you to apply your skills to computer science and electronic engineering, working in groups and investigating and designing solutions to real problems in our undergraduate labs. As well as experiencing our fantastic facilities and taking part in labs and lectures, you will be living in halls and enjoying a busy technical programme and social activities on and around the University campus.

No previous experience of electronics, computer science or programming is needed as you will have lots of supervision in our high-spec labs with outstanding facilities. However, if you already have good skills in these subjects you will get the opportunity to extend these skills and apply them to new problems.

To enrol, you should be aged 16+ when the course begins; studying Maths and one of Physics, Electronics, Computing or Further Maths at A-level (or equivalent) and have mostly A/A* grades at GCSE (or equivalent). This will be an exhilarating week in which you get to improve your understanding, try out your design skills, solve some interesting problems, hang out with cool people and have lots of fun!
